MANGA BARCELONA PREMIERES THE KIZUNA NIHON SPACE

Manga Barcelona premieres a new space called Kizuna Nihon that will host several Japanese public institutions, highlighting the country's strong relationship with the event. The Consulate General of Japan in Barcelona, the Japan National Tourist Office (JNTO), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and Tokyo Tourism will offer a variety of activities and information at the 29th edition of Manga Barcelona, which will take place from December 7 to 10 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via.


The Consulate General of Japan in Barcelona will offer activities at its stand such as: Writing one's name in Japanese, traditional Japanese games, origami crane workshops, furoshiki or creating a samurai tió with origami accessories. It will also organize activities in other areas of Manga Barcelona such as kendo workshops, aikido, Bon Odori dance, storytelling in the traditional kamishibai style or talks about the scholarships offered by the Japanese government to study in the country.

The Japan National Tourist Office (JNTO) booth will offer information and distribute brochures on tourism in Japan so our visitors discover all that Japan has to offer them. In addition, the Cool Japan space will hold lectures on "Traveling to Japan for the First Time" and "Japan through Manga".

JETRO, Japan's international trade promotion agency, will offer samples of Japanese gastronomic products, showing their excellent quality. In addition, anime related to Japanese gastronomy will be shown at its stand.

Tokyo Tourism will publicize the wide variety of possibilities and places to discover in the metropolitan region of the country's capital.

The Japan Foundation, an entity with the objective of promoting international cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and other countries of the world, will hold takoyaki cooking demonstrations and workshops at the Nihon Ryori, and the Ton Ton Sumo origami workshop at the Cool Japan space.
